Dog walker, Our story Mylo and Me, Mylo and I

I am one of the guys
that talks
to every dog he meets.

My Ruari Dog walker,

Hello! My name is Martyn Bulloch,

I’ve been around dogs my entire life—self-trained, cared for, and absolutely passionate about them. To me, dogs aren’t just pets; they’re family. I’ve been very fortunate to have had extensive personal experience with dogs over the years. Growing up, we had family dogs—Luckie (Lucluck), a mix breed, and two Cairn Terriers, Ruari (Roorit) and Hamish (Mish-Mash). I was frequently asked for advice and help with caring for family and friends’ pets, which gave me a lot of hands-on experience.

After leaving university where I studied music, I worked in banking, then spent a year with the Dogs Trust, gaining invaluable experience in animal care. Fuelled by the wanderlust of my twenties, I embarked on a two-year backpacking adventure before spending over a decade in the travel industry. During that time, I ticked off many bucket list experiences, such as going on safari, gorilla trekking in Uganda, hiking the Inca Trail, summiting Kilimanjaro, and reaching Everest Base Camp, on each one of these trips I spoke to all the dogs I met and donated food and/or money at local dog shelters. Now, I’m ready for a new challenge—one that aligns with my passion for dogs. Caring for dogs has always been something close to my heart, and I’m excited to pursue it as my next step.

Leigh, my partner and I have 2 very sweet and sociable dogs, a Cavapoo named Mylo and Dorcas (Dorky) a Cockapoo we adopted. They're fantastic with other dogs, love to play, but is also intuitive enough to know when they want their space or just a peaceful cuddle and nap.

Dog Waggly Tail Pack,

As Ruari got older, he became diabetic, and that’s when I learned all about managing and administering medications, being especially careful with feeding schedules and volumes. I’ve gained a lot of experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs—whether it’s regular walks, feeding, administering medication, or attending vet appointments. I’m comfortable with dogs that need a lot of exercise, those that prefer quieter walks, and even those that need someone to love and care for them while you’re away.

During my time at the Dogs Trust, I worked with abandoned, mistreated, and stray dogs. I was involved in home visits, open days, and training, giving special attention to the dogs who needed it most. With patience, training, and love, it was incredibly rewarding to see these dogs find new homes and get a second chance at a happy life.

I truly believe animals are individuals, and for me, caring for a dog is about more than just meeting their physical needs—it’s about treating them with the care, understanding, and respect they deserve. I’m very patient with them and never rush. While they’re with me, it's their time, and they deserve to be treated as family. I’m more than happy to keep you updated with photos of your furry friends to give you peace of mind and show off their cuteness!

Dogs, in particular, have brought so much love and joy to my life, and I want to give that back by adding value to their lives the same way they do for me—with care, attention, and love. I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and appreciated.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like more information. I look forward to hearing from you!
